In Cairo, on April 19, 2024, Cardoo, a leading Egyptian startup in consumer electronics, participated in the largest university marathon for public health, organized by the British University in Egypt (BUE) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Under the sponsorship of the Ministries of Higher Education, Youth, and Sports, along with the British Embassy in Egypt, the marathon included three distances: 2 kilometers, 5 kilometers, and 10 kilometers to accommodate all target groups.
The marathon, which started this morning from the university campus in the city of Shorouk, was attended by Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Alessandro Fracassetti, Resident Representative of the UNDP, Dr. Khan Polukhov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Cairo, Ambassador András Kovács of Hungary, Ambassador Dominic Goh of Singapore, and Claire Akamazi, CEO of the African Basketball Federation.
Minister Ashraf Sobhi expressed his support for Cardoo Egypt and his pride in Egypt’s first smart watch and earphones. Cardoo’s participation in the marathon aligns with its commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and improving athletic performance through its innovative products. The marathon, held today, Friday, April 19, at 8:00 am at the British University campus in New Cairo, aims to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining good health and living better.
